Volunteers are crucial to our efforts to provide high-quality services to sexual assault survivors, their loved ones and the overall community. Volunteers will be provided with a comprehensive, 20-hour training. This training is required for all volunteer positions.
Benefits of Volunteering
24-Hour Crisis Hotline - Provide crisis intervention, support, information and referrals to survivors, their supporters and community members. Serve during scheduled on-call periods based on your availability.
Hospital Advocacy - Provide support, information, and referrals to survivors undergoing forensic medical exams and evidence collection. Serve during scheduled on-call periods based on your availability.
Special Events - Assist with planning and carrying out special events such as 'Walk a Mile in Her Shoes.'
Community Education and Outreach - Help raise awareness about sexual violence and its prevention to audiences in community settings such as health fairs and other events.
