Education & Prevention

The purpose of our educational programs is to reduce the incidence of sexual assault by providing prevention education to residents of Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties and motivating the stakeholders and community members to become involved in changing attitudes and beliefs towards sexual violence.

All programs are age appropriate, conducive to audience participation and tailored to your group's needs and time constraints.  Presentations are free, although donations are accepted.

Prevention Programs for Children and Teens

Middle School and High School Programs
The goal of this school-based curriculum is to increase knowledge of healthy behaviors, positively change attitudes/beliefs and strengthen students' abilities to prevent sexual violence.  The curriculum is designed for a 5-session presentation, but can be shortened as needed.  The programs can be conducted at various venues, including schools, after-school programs, youth groups, etc.  The topics covered in this curriculum include:

Education for Elementary Students
Programs are available for students in the elementary classes.  Presenters will work with the teacher or advisor to pick a topic that is best suited for the age group and time constraint.  Please call the Education Coordinator to schedule a program or  for more information.

Prevention Programs for Adults

COMPASS will provide adults in Tuscarawas and Carroll Counties with various prevention programs.  A presenter will work with you to develop a presentation that best fits the needs of your group.  Some audiences my include:
